General Assembly - Day one overview

I don’t have that much to add to the update from earlier today. Autumn and I attended the young adult opening worship, which was absolutely wonderful. The worship was led by Rev. Tyler Coles, who was an absolutely electrifying speaker. It really set off the first day of GA.

The opening ceremony and initial General Session proceeded without incident. This year, the rules of procedure have been dramatically streamlined, to emphasize discussion over procedural questions. It sounds to me like this is going to be an absolutely great change, and I can’t wait to see how it works.

This has been a good, but very long day. I should have a longer update tomorrow.
